AMANDA SEYMOUR, FNP

Family Nurse Practitioner

Caring and kindness is what I want to be remembered for in my career and what I strive to show to my patients every day. I like to get to know my patients and find ways to help them meet their health goals in a way that matters to them. Discussing medical conditions, treatments and  recommendations in a way that can be understood by all is an attribute I have and credit this to my NC upbringing. Nursing is in my blood. My mother, sister, and sister-in-law are all nurses. After receiving my BSN from UNC Charlotte in 2003, I went on to work in the OB/GYN field for 10 years. Then I moved to become an RN Obstetric Case Manager for 3 years and used this time to go back to school to attain my FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner) from the University of South Alabama. I gained experience as a nurse practitioner in Internal Medicine which opened up many new interests for me. I enjoy decorating, refinishing furniture, and spending time with family.”

My nursing background includes Burn Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Emergency Room, Pediatric Acute Care, Family Medicine/Urgent Care, and now this team. In my downtime I enjoy watching/going to sporting events, traveling, and exploring new and upcoming local restaurants and boutiques. I am a dog mom who enjoys spoiling my golden doodle Avery absolutely rotten! Joining this team has been a wonderful experience.
